
Bernard's Wholesale Florists required a new look and feel for their website, but had some additional requirements that needed to be met. In addition to a great design they needed to have parts of their website accessible to their retailers, and parts available to the public. Both areas had to display the full inventory of the warehouse and allow for retailers to do their ordering online, while providing the public enough information to prompt them to come in to the warehouse to purchase their supplies.
Bang! Softworks provided a Content Management System that allows the staff at Bernards to keep the content on the website fresh and up to date. We wrapped it in a professional and fresh design and then developed a custom integration module to read the inventory information including stock levels, sale prices and images and update the information on the website automatically every night.
We integrated the website with the existing inventory management solution, meaning the change to the current process was minimal and that there was only one true source of inventory information. in addition, role based security was implemented to provide different information to different types of users. The picture below shows a product listing for registered user.
